Ameren offers free home energy assessments to qualified Ameren customers through its “Home Efficiency Income Qualified Initiative.” Qualified customers must also heat their home with Ameren electricity, Ameren gas, or propane. Customers served by other gas companies are not eligible.

During the Home Energy Assessment, customers will receive free or heavily discounted installation of energy-efficient products in their home. These products include LED lighting, faucet aerators, and an advanced power strip. The Energy Assessment will identify additional opportunities to receive energy-saving upgrades at low- or no cost, like improved insulation, heating equipment, air sealing, and ventilation.
